Economics Club

Economics Club as a group organizes special presentations and debates within the University of Idaho Community to raise awareness throughout campus of important local to global economic issues. We have formal planning meetings required for officers and open to all university participants; as well as informal meetings to screen related films, debate ideological views in casual off campus environments and discuss individual member goals. As part of the CBE under their umbrella within the Business College, whose HQ is the Alb. building, Economics is an area of Academia which if neglected can cause many problems - the 2007/8 recession, for example - it is our main goal to raise awareness of how economics relates to everyday lives of all individuals regardless of status. Economics is the social science of human decision making and the business of human success is its primary goal. Economics Club welcomes all students in the pursuit of campus awareness of economic circumstances and to be a part of a team working towards the same goals of excellence, expediency, and equity.
